<\/p>\nGod is SO good!<\/p>\n
What do you get when you take a lovely young lady,<\/p>\n
a stunning copper-brown gown<\/p>\n
and a crazy-beautiful field of red clover\u2026<\/p>\n
I\u2019ll tell you\u2026<\/p>\n
You get a super-fun, amazingly stunning senior session!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But before it sounds like I\u2019m tooting my own horn\u2026 let me tell you a bit about what transpired before this session started\u2026<\/p>\n
Right before the session my Mom called to let me know my Dad\u2019s melanoma was back {for the third time}. However, this time it was a different type\u2026 that still confuses me.<\/p>\n
Needless to say my mind was not as focused as it is normally.<\/p>\n
In fact, I was on auto pilot.<\/p>\n
Thankfully I had rehearsed in my mind the types of images I wanted to capture ahead of time.<\/p>\n
Praying for every session is critical:<\/p>\n
…for my clients,<\/p>\n
\u2026for wisdom and guidance,<\/p>\n
\u2026that what I create would be a blessing,<\/p>\n
\u2026and that God would be honored in all I say and do.<\/p>\n
But this session\u2026<\/p>\n
Oy vey\u2026<\/p>\n
I prayed I would just remember my settings!<\/p>\n
Things that normally come naturally to me required all my focus\u2026<\/p>\n
I started to get overwhelmed and Mikela wasn\u2019t even there yet.<\/p>\n

Quickly I emailed several of my photographer friends to ask them to pray for the session, too.<\/p>\n
I knew my brain wouldn\u2019t be working at its normal capacity.<\/p>\n
And it totally wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
But God is SO good.<\/p>\n
Just look what He allowed me to be a part of creating!<\/p>\n
Dispite all that was going on in my heart and mind, photographing Mikela was a delight. She is so sweet and intelligent. We had so much fun chatting as we posed and set up different shots.<\/p>\n
She really wanted some dark, dramatic clouds and thankfully God even arranged the perfect ones for us to capture.<\/p>\n
I love that God even cares about the little details.<\/p>\n

The time with Mikela was such a blessing\u2026<\/p>\n
A break from what was going on with my Dad,<\/p>\n
time with an amazing young lady<\/p>\n
and much needed laughter and smiles!<\/p>\n
She probably doesn\u2019t realize how much she<\/em> blessed me<\/em> during that session.<\/p>\n She completely stunning {inside and out} and is such a genuine and fun young lady.<\/p>\n I know God planned the timing of my Mom\u2019s call and the session.<\/p>\n He knew I would need to shoot and that Mikela\u00a0would be\u00a0the perfect subject.<\/p>\n Now, what I wasn\u2019t prepared for was the overwhelming response to her images.<\/p>\n I am so deeply humbled by everyone\u2019s kind words.<\/p>\n Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments on my Facebook page.<\/p>\n It means more to me than you will ever know!<\/p>\n When people tell me I\u2019m amazing\u2026 I often reply,<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not amazing, God is amazing\u2026 I\u2019m just available.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n {For those of you who were wondering, yes, the Silent Words post<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/staceetaft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/20120602_Mikela5-720x362.png\" "\\"20120602_Mikela5\\"")
